2009 Gator Bowl Tickets- Clemson vs. Nebraska
From its first game that pit Wake Forest against South Carolina, the Gator Bowl is one of the oldest college bowl games and is played every year in Jacksonville, Florida. The Tigers finished strong under Head Coach Dabo Swinney, who became the interim head coach in October after Tommy Bowden resigned. He was named the Tiger’s head coach on December 1st. The 8-4 Nebraska Cornhuskers, winners of five of their final six games, will make their 1st appearance in the Gator Bowl. This will be the 14th different bowl game in which Nebraska has been a competitor. This year’s bowl appearance will be the Husker’s 45th all-time bowl appearance, the fifth-highest total number of bowl appearances nationally. The 2009 Gator Bowl will also mark Nebraska’s 32nd bowl game on or after New Year’s Day and their 18th bowl game in the state of Florida.
